There is no doubt that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year!
Make it even more special by capturing your little ones in a very festive setup or two! Yes, that’s right – this year I have not one, but two beautiful scenes for you to choose from. Both very Christmas’y, both beautiful and both timeless! Christmas Mini Photoshoots Edinburgh are now available to book, so wait no more and grab your space now before they sell out!
Christmas minis sell out without fail every single year, and this year the early bird list snapped up all the spaces in day 1 in record time! So I would recommend that you book your space as soon as you can!

HOW IT WORKS
Christmas mini photoshoots will take place in an accessible venue in Midlothian on set dates only. Here’s what to expect:
Step One: Booking and Questionnaire
Choose a mini photoshoot time that suits you – select your choice of backdrop (or go for both to make it extra special!) and fill out a short questionnaire to help me know you better and plan your session.
Step Two: Your mini photography session
Show up for your dedicated time slot and spend some lovely festive time with your nearest and dearest while I capture your beautiful portraits.
Step Three: Choose your package
After your session choose and pay for your photo package on the day. Christmas cards and gifts are also available!
Step Four: Delivery
Your digital portraits will be ready to download within 7 days and prints/cards shortly after that.

frequently asked questions
Q. Where will the sessions be?
A. Mini sessions will take place in Midlothian, near Edinburgh. Exact venue to be announced soon.
Q. Who are the sessions suitable for?
A. The backdrops can accommodate up to 3-4 little ones at a time, no minimum age as long as baby can hold their head up comfortably, or parents are willing to get in the photos too! I will have baskets and cushions to prop babies up with, but keep in mind smaller babies might get less variety in their galleries.
Q. Can we do a joint session with cousins/friends?
A. Time slots are per family, but yes you can. Just book two back to back time slots for this. Two orders will need to be placed.
Q. What to wear?
A. I recommend Christmas’y clothes! So anything ivory, gold, silver, red, navy, green, etc! Dress up fancy or come in Christmas jammies – your choice, just make sure everyone is ready to start on arrival.
Q. What do we need to bring?
A. Please arrive dressed and ready to start. You can bring a hairbrush, a drink for your littles, a favourite toy if you don’t mind it in the photos. I will have wet wipes and tissues for any last minute nose wipes!
Q. How long is the session?
A. Sessions will last approximately 15min, give or take. Please arrive on time as sessions are booked back to back and time will have to be deducted if you are late.
Q. Can we take our own photos?
A. I have a strict no photos allowed policy, your session will be terminated immediately if you are seen taking photos/videos. Let me do the job you are paying me for! 🙂
Q. Can we cancel/reschedule our session?
A. Sessions are not refundable, but you are more than welcome to sell your space to someone else. Just inform me of the name change as soon as possible.
Q. How much are the photos?
A. Your session costs £25 for one theme or get both themes for £37.50. Special on the day only photo package prices vary between £49-£149 to suit all budgets.
Q. When will our photos be ready?
A. Your digital images will be ready within a week from your session. Prints and cards within 3 weeks from order and guaranteed with plenty of time for you to wrap them up for Christmas.
Q. How will we order our photos?
A. Heavily discounted on the day only packages will be available to purchase straight after your session. Digital, print and card bundles will be available.
Q. How will we get our ordered prints and gifts?
A. Two collection dates will be given for you to choose from, alternatively opt for delivery for a small fee.
Q. Can you edit bruises/scratches/drool from the photos?
A. Mini sessions mean minimal editing, so please make sure your children are clean and all boogers wiped etc. In case of an accident just before the shoot I will of course remove the bruise/scratch wherever possible.
Q. Can I book one background and upgrade to the other one on the day?
A. Yes of course you can! It would help me with the planning of your session if you chose both themes in advance, but if you aren’t sure about either and would prefer to see it in person first, that’s totally fine too 🙂
Q. Any tips?
A. Make sure everyone is fed, watered and had a nap if they need one. If you worry about kids messing up their outfits, put a large hoodie over for on the way. Promise them something special for afterwards, McDonalds is a firm favourite and is in the area! 🙂 Allow me to take the lead in warming them up if possible, but also feel free to come up close to my camera and show off your funniest dance moves if that’s what’s going to make them giggle!
Q. Do you have any other dates available?
A. Unfortunately the last few months of the year are looking crazy busy for me, so I doubt I will be able to add any more spaces, but keep an eye on my Facebook page or even better sign up to my newsletter for updates just in case!
