Soon I will share a blog post that explains the difference between a full newborn session and a mini newborn session in more detail, but today let’s look at baby Eleanor’s Mini Newborn Photoshoot in Edinburgh.
Mini Newborn Photoshoot is perfect for older babies!
I always recommend that parents book their newborn photoshoot in pregnancy. This is due to various reasons, main one being that things can get very busy and slightly overwhelming when baby arrives, which in turn means prioritising other things to booking your newborn shoot. Days and weeks go by and parents realise that their tiny baby is not so tiny anymore. But what if you still want to capture them in a few beautiful professional portraits, but don’t necessarily fancy a full shoot? Then a mini newborn photoshoot might be just what you are after!
When Eleanor’s mummy got in touch to chat about capturing her baby girl, she wasn’t keen on the wrapped images that I offer as standard for mini shoots. She felt that her baby has grown out of that stage of being swaddled and it’s simply not her look. So instead we decided to photograph Eleanor the way her mum and dad see her daily – in a simple white sleepsuit.
Quick, Easy and Affordable Photoshoot
Mini newborn photoshoots are shorter than full sessions, so we photograph your little one as they are – awake or asleep. Eleanor decided to stay awake for most of the shoot, but got sleepy after mummy held her for some pictures, which allowed us to get some really cute sleepy pictures of her too.
So here you go – a bunch of beautiful baby pictures, taken in just under an hour. A mini newborn photoshoot is truly a great, easy and affordable way to capture a few key portraits of your beautiful baby.
