Oh how I love a cake smash photoshoot! Is there a more symbolic, exciting and special way to mark this once in a lifetime occasion? I doubt it!
First birthday cake smashes are some of my favourite photoshoots and today I want to share with you a gallery of pictures from Adam’s session.
As always, we started the photoshoot with simple, timeless portraits that shows Adam just how he was at that stage. No need for a busy background, colourful props or elaborate outfits!
After taking some timeless portraits, it was time to introduce Adam to his birthday cake! A simple white vanilla sponge compliments the setup beautifully. Adam carefully explored the cake at the beginning and then dived right into it! He was so awesome at smashing it and making sure to taste test the cake multiple times.

Bath time!
Following the smashing of the cake, I quickly cleaned up and prepared a warm bubble bath. This was by far Adam’s favourite part of the photoshoot. He did awesome splashing about and had so much fun while I captured all his cute expressions.
