An affordable, quick, stress free, super fun and very festive 20min session will ensure you have plenty of photographs to choose from. Use them for your greeting cards, to print out as a gifts for grandparents or simply share online with family and friends. I, personally, always print and frame our Christmas family portraits and have it displayed throughout the year on the shelf in our dining room. We all love seeing it every single day.

The setup this year will again be simple and classy, with a scandi twist. Imagine white background, winter greenery, natural wood – you get the idea!

When will the Christmas mini photoshoots in Edinburgh happen?
This year I have 3 days only – October 30th, November 12th and 19th 2022. Sessions booked on first pay first served basis, session fees are non refundable* and sessions not possible to reschedule.
*If you are unable to attend the session due to illness or other personal issues, please do contact me asap and I will do my best to resell your slot. If successful, I will refund your session fee.
Where?
Christmas mini photoshoots take place in my Bonnyrigg based home studio. A short drive from anywhere in Edinburgh it is very easily accessible!
How much do the Christmas mini photoshoots in Edinburgh cost?
£59. This includes your session time, image selection and editing and an online gallery to view and purchase your images. 2 high resolution digital images with full printing rights are included in the price. Additional images can be purchased for £19 each, £39 for 3 or £89 for the full gallery (at least 15 images).

I’m hoping to make the experience as stress-free as possible for you! Here’s some more information, tips and suggestions to make the day a success for all of us!
Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your session time as you will have to wait which might mean cranky children, please do try to be on time. Unfortunately if you are late, we will have to just use the time left, as the sessions are short and booked back to back.
Mini sessions mean minimal editing – I won’t be able to include removal of snot, dribbles, dirty nails, etc. Please make sure your children are clean and dressed for the start of the session. If you are worried that your child will mess up their outfit on the way, I would recommend a large hoodie over their clothes while you travel.
The setup is classy and simple, I would advice you dress your children in smart, festive clothing, avoid cartoons, bright patterns and logos. We won’t have time during the session for a full outfit change, although we can create more variety for you by adding a hat/headband or a cardigan over a shirt or a dress. Please bring this with you.
What happens after our mini Christmas photoshoot?
After your session I will select and lightly edit your images, the final gallery will consist of at least 15 portraits. Approximately 1 week from the session I will send you the link to your password protected online gallery where you will be able to view your images. That’s when you will choose 2 of your favourites to download directly to your device. Your gallery will be live for three days, during which you can upgrade your package and choose additional portraits.
Tips and tricks for a successful Christmas mini Photoshoot
The session is suitable for up to 3 siblings at a time. We will focus on the portraits of your children, however a couple of family portraits can be included.
Please be sure to pick a time when your children are well rested and full, meaning they arrive happy and willing.
The session will be fast paced, full of giggles and smiles and we will go through the poses quickly. Time for feeds, outfit or nappy changes will be unfortunately deducted from your session time. This might result in smaller number of final images, so please prepare as much as you can in advance.
Bring a couple of toys to get your kid’s attention or a favourite teddy to include in the photos. If your child responds well to snacks, feel free to bring something little that can be eaten in one bite. Raisins always work well, avoid snack bars and chocolate and pre-open any packs so you can take out one bite at a time. I would recommend leaving the snacks until the very end if nothing else is working (I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve!).
