Looking for a fun, easy way to mark your child’s birthday with beautiful, timeless portraits? Whether they’re turning 1, 4, 7 or 10 – this is the perfect way to capture that birthday magic and update your photo frames at the same time!
Each session is short, sweet and full of smiles – with a big statement number balloon, a chance to dress up, and a whole lot of fun in front of the camera. These sessions are suitable for any age – from little ones turning ONE, to tweens and beyond – as long as they are ready to have fun!
My birthday mini sessions are 30-minute bursts of photographic magic - capturing your child's personality at this special age with all the celebration energy but none of the marathon session fatigue. Perfect for annual traditions or milestone birthdays!

Birthday mini photoshoots will take place in my beautiful Loanhead studio, just outside Edinburgh, on set dates only.

After your session, choose and pay for your photo package on the day. Digitals, Prints and Gifts are available!

Receive your digital portraits within 7 days; prints and gifts follow shortly after.
Your 30-minute session is all about fun! We'll start with playful warm-ups to help your child relax. I'll guide them through simple poses while capturing natural smiles and personality. For little ones, we keep it light with games; older kids help direct their shots. Expect a joyful, pressure-free experience resulting in authentic portraits.
Mini sessions will take place in my beautiful studio in Loanhead, near Edinburgh.

Absolutely any age – whether they’re toddling or already ruling the school playground. All I ask is that they’re comfortable in the studio setting and ready to have some fun.
This is a solo session format to celebrate the birthday child. If you’d like a sibling or family shoot, just pop me a message and we can chat about options!
Smart-casual works great – think something you’d dress them in for a birthday party. Neutrals or soft colours photograph beautifully, but feel free to add a splash of personality too.
Session fee includes your shoot and setup, after your session you will be able to choose from a selection of digital & print packages. Gift items and printed keepsakes will be available as add-ons.
Please arrive dressed and ready to start. You can bring a hairbrush, a drink for your littles, a favourite toy if you don’t mind it in the photos. I will have wet wipes and tissues for any last minute nose wipes!
Sessions will last approximately 15min, give or take. Please arrive on time as sessions are booked back to back and time will have to be deducted if you are late.
I have a strict no photos allowed policy, your session will be terminated immediately if you are seen taking photos/videos. Let me do the job you are paying me for! 🙂
Sessions are not refundable, but you are more than welcome to sell your space to someone else. Just inform me of the name change as soon as possible.
Your session costs £25. Special on the day only photo package prices vary between £49-£149 to suit all budgets.
Your digital images will be ready within a week from your session. Prints and cards within 2 weeks from order.
Heavily discounted on the day only packages will be available to purchase straight after your session. Digital, print and card bundles will be available.
Two collection dates will be given for you to choose from, alternatively opt for delivery for a small fee.
Mini sessions mean minimal editing, so please make sure your children are clean and all boogers wiped etc. In case of an accident just before the shoot I will of course remove the bruise/scratch wherever possible.
Make sure everyone is fed, watered and had a nap if they need one. If you worry about kids messing up their outfits, put a large hoodie over for on the way. Promise them something special for afterwards, McDonalds is a firm favourite and is in the area! 🙂
Allow me to take the lead in warming them up if possible, but also feel free to come up close to my camera and show off your funniest dance moves if that’s what’s going to make them giggle!
Depending on how the first date goes, I am planning to offer these sessions every couple of months.
